Our location is the former Category C Prison, H.M.P Ashwell. The site was badly damaged after prisoners rioted in 2009 and the prison was closed in 2011.
In the larp, the building has been taken over as a temporary detention centre by River Severn Security—the private company contacted to manage detention and immigration—it has been temporary for six years now and there is no sign of it closing...
Depending on the number of international players, we will investigate the possibility of a coach from either Stanstead or Birmingham airport.
There is parking at the location for participants arriving by road.

FACILITIES
The facilities are very basic. Accommodation will be in unheated cells with one or more people to a cell. You will need to bring a mat and a sleeping bag as the beds have solid bases. For international players, we will provide an option to purchase a sleeping bag and mat for you for collection at the larp.
There will be portaloos on site. We are investigating the possibility of hiring showers.
There is no running water on site. The organisers will provide plenty of fresh drinking water.
Electricity is limited to only certain parts of the facility. Participants are invited to bring electric torches for their off-game use.
